No power to cigarette lighter, wiring diagram?
I just tried to plug my radar detector in to my 12v cigarette lighter for the first time since I bought the car and found that the outlet has no power. Does anyone have or can point me to a wiring diagram that shows that circuit? Any suggestions on what to check or how to get to the backside of it? -thanks!

Are you sure it has no power? Mine definitely is getting power - but it takes me about 20 minutes to twist the plug "just so" so that it works. The socket itself needs a bit of work on mine.

I second jimq's comment.
I had the same problem and had a really fun time getting the wire plugged back in.

Read that entire thread (4 posts I think). it also has a link to another.
Kind of sums up the whole issue.
I assume you checked the fuse, of course.
Also, the socket has a different ID than most US cars. They make a thin sleeve that acts as an adapter to address the problem DaveK mentions above.
