Between 1960 and 64 I was stationed at Ramstein AB, Germany. Every time there was a race at the Nurburgring I'd drive my '59 Corvette up the Rhein to Koblenz and then west across to the Ring. These photos were taken with an Agfa 35mm SLR camera. I recently scanned the 35mm slides. I posted these pictures in a different area of Rennlist but I though you 356 guy's would enjoy seeing these.

Great pics. I was stationed in Italy 10 years later with the 509th ABCT....picked up a Maserati 3500 GTI,
driving in Europe, and the racing scene was magnificent. I would drive to Monoco for the GP every year.
Brought back some great memories. Thanks.

Don Dickey of CA raced in that race in a Carrera Speedster # 69

Don was at the Porsche Race Car Classic and is a super guy who had lots of great stories about Porsche racing in CA in the late 50's. He was one of the top racers of that time
