This sucks and very good luck to you.

Based on one of the pictures, I hope you'll check the hood latch WHEN you get it back. A flipped up hood makes a great airbrake, but it's hard on the paint and bodywork.

This really sucks! I'm really sorry about your loss. I had a 96 BMW that got stolen from Marina Del Rey, right next to the sheriff station (no joke), and the car was found in San Pedro. They were using my car to transport drugs (lovely). I got it back, but I really didn't want it. It is most likely an inside job with the guys at the shipping company (locating cars, and then sending them to wherever the buyer is). At any rate, lt's get her back and the bastards who took her locked up

Very sad, sorry for you. I would waste no time getting the word out - including whatever law enforcement there is at the port, Customs maybe, call shipping brokers, everything you can think of. Hopefully its a local theft, but if it ends up fast in a shipping container, the chances of recovering would drop significantly. Also you might contact Customs in foreign countries where it may be most likely to go, not sure what those countries are but I'd guess Germany, Italy, France, maybe Japan for starters.

Good luck.

I live in Japan and this would stick out like sore thumb. I'll keep my local eyes open for it.

I expect "steal to order" going on a container to Germany or Japan.

Just spoke with the owner to confirm a post I saw and the great news he has found the car and it is back in his possession. Basically in good shape other than they cut all the wires in the car.

YEAAAAHH!!!

Why would they cut all the wires. Makes no sense. Vandalism?

That's great news. Presumably insurance will absorb the rewiring and help spruce the car up a little after a few hard days and nights.

This incident illustrates how the journalists should protect the identity and whereabouts of the cars.

AGREE!! Especially with cars that sit at home in regular old garages.

From the owner!

Gentlemen, there is a good ending.

They found "blue"!

I cannot say how thankful I am to all of the people who spread the word.

A woman saw a post from the internet and recognized the car sitting in a park.

The wiring under the dash is all ripped out - the idiots who stole it couldn't figure out how to hotwire it (thank god!). The police have surrounded it and hopefully can get these idiots off the street.

THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!

WOOOOOO WHOOOO !!!!!

I've been busy typing "FOUND" on all the shared Posts and pictures that were linked to the "Proud to be a Born and raised San Pedran....." Page. They jumped all over it last night and I had a feeling if it were not in a container on the way to some far away land, someone would see it

The power of the internet. Amazing.
