Where is the stamped engine number located on the engine??
Does anyone have a picture?

In the engine compartment, take a look at the lower righthand corner of your engine case near where the inner belt is lowest near the sheet metal. You should see the engine number stamped into the Aluminum case.

SO look down to the right of the alternator fan and it should be fairly clear?

You're getting warm! Look for the bolt head near where the belt starts to go down to the crank pulley. From the bolt head, look slightly forward and to the left about an inch to a vertical surface on the side of the case. You should see the engine number there. It may take an inspection mirror and flashlight to see the whole number. If it's not there, you may have a replacement case.
