of sticker. Dealer refused deposit cause car advertised in 3 day sale starting Friday and can't take deposit on sale cars.

Either I had to buy car now or wait and take my chances.

Since I'm waiting for settlement for my new Cayman totaled in accident and I didn't have enough spare change to buy car outright then wait for settlement money to replenish my checking account I decided to just take my chances and see if car remains unsold through sale. Not likely but....

Tried to buy another '08 Cayman S stickered at a bit over $75K. Left lot without buying with price down to $59,999 with the very strong hint $1000 maybe $2000 more discount available.

But still a bit more money than I want to spend. Car has some options I'm not too fond of: 19" wheels and PCM and premium sound and similar options that I just don't care to have in a car. I use my car to get away from the office, not to become my office away from my office.

Couple of dealers said they'd deal on '09's if I'm unable to find an '08.

Sincerely,

Macster.
