You are right - there are service centres OK! My nearest (still a fair way away) is Marbella Porsche. If you know Marbella - it is the richest area in South Spain. Charges are around 70 Euros (and pounds now) per hour. They manage to find enough "wrong" to push the price up to 2-3000 for every service or repair.
Then, because you are such an important customer, they park your 964 turbo well round the back out of sight, because it gives the owners of the latest Porsches a bad feeling to see this old cr*p parked in the service bay next to theirs.
Sorry - went twice, never again.
