Yep, because it has no structural or rigidity benefit whatsoever. It adds 18kg weight to the car 'quite high up, where you don't want it'.
Oh and it means his sport bag doesn't fit behind the seat
Not sure whether to get it - it does unbolt but would take a while to do and of course then the seats are nomex and not the lovely leather/alcantara...
As for the 'sunroof' - he was, I think, at is most passionate when talking about how he hated the fact it needed to be added for the US market. He actually hit the roof of the car with the side of his fist at one point. Top bloke
