Default How is a Guard Red 718 in real?

Hi everyone.
I found a 718 BGTS that I can get a 8% discount from MSRP. I saw a Carmine Red in person before and it was beautiful, but I've never seen one Guard Red. Has anyone seen a Guard Red 718 Boxster? How does the color look like in person? Thank you for your input.

I also found a used 2018 Carrara White 718 BGTS that has 3500 miles on it. The original MSRP was $96530, and it is $73,999 now. This one doesn't look like a CPO though. I didn't contact the dealer yet, so I am not sure how much discount I can get, but it seems like a good deal to me. I don't know the difference between CPO and pre-owned. What do you think?

Color is a subjective choice. Guards Red is a classic Porsche color and looks outstanding to me.

The GR is slightly more orange than the CR Boxster that you already saw.

CR has more black in it.

Both are great. I prefer the CR. But I'd take an 8% less expensive GR car over a CR car. Everything else being equal.

Simply put, Guards red is beautiful! I don't get all these Porsches that are painted some shade of the gray scale. Ugly!

As others have said color is subjective. TO me the GR has more "youth" while the CR has more "maturity." That being said I think either color works well for a Boxster.

I like Carrara White a lot. Porsches always look great in white to me.

The difference is that the CPO car is certified with extended warranty coverage by Porsche. The price difference can easily be $3,000 and go up from there.

I'm a GR guy; I don't like CR (looks burgundy to me and I don't want anything remotely close to burgundy on my cars). Purely subjective though.

Carmine Red is for those that deep down want a true, bold, confident Guards Red, but are too timid and can't quite do it. So they pay $2500 extra for the subdued, kissing your sister, not quite red.

Just kidding, 2 door Porsches look good in any color. GR is a true red, and while under certain lighting conditions can take on a bit of orange tone (red+yellow=orange), in neutral light it is just pure red. Same car in on a cloudy day, and again in late day sunlight:

I sold a white Aston Vantage and recently took delivery of a white Cayman. Bordeaux interior. I get the same complements as the Aston. Only difference is the p-car is better in every way. No regrets

In the foreground is a Carmine red. I know it’s hard to see but the one in the background is Guards Red. Looks very orange in bright light.

Haha thank you for the pic. I can see both of them. Both are beautiful color, but I decided to go with the Carrara White 718 BGTS.
