Advice buying used 718 Cayman
Hello! I am a newbie both to Rennlist and the Porsche world. I am buying my first Porsche and am considering a used 718 Cayman. I found this 2017 Cayman which looks promising: https://www.northstateauto.com/vehic...ca-id-38748973
What do y'all think? Is this a fairly priced vehicle given its year, mileage, and options (https://vinanalytics.com/car/WP0AA2A86HS270402/)? Are there any "essential" options this car is missing?
Finally, I like listening to music when I drive. I'm not an audiophile by any means, but I do like to turn the music up pretty loud. Are the standard speakers acceptable? And if not, is purchasing and installing aftermarket speakers viable (I'm not good with my hands so I would probably have to take this to a shop to get it done).
Thank you so much for your help!

WAY over priced for a base 2017 with those miles! I bought my '17 Boxster at Carmax a year ago for $48k and it had 8,000 miles! Like new and no problems. Carmax gets some nice Porsches and was excellent to deal with.

I think there are many essential options missing but I'd suggest a search of something like that to find what others think rather than reinventing the wheel here.

My God, I wish I lived in the US. :-)
49000 dollar for a 2017 Cayman with those miles would easily cost 50-55K euro here in Europe. In dollars, that would mean 59K-65K dollar!!
Maybe I should import a Porsche from the US instead of looking at the cars here in Belgium and Germany... :-)
Just wondering: Are taxes included in these prices?

How much would y'all pay for this car? Where should I be looking to find a more reasonably priced 718?

I looked for many months, then jumped when the right car came along. Get to know what you really want and don't worry if it takes a while. Just be ready as the good deals don't hang around too long.

Considering that a new, ordered Cayman with those options is only $73K, that is way overpriced. It's essentially 5 years old already.

Did you buy that car? I've been looking in the southeast and haven't found anything under $53k. Plus that car has Sport Chrono (which I want), but it's hard to find a base 718 with the option.

Congrats, that's a steal! Unfortunately, I can't find any deals nearly comparable to that in the market. There are hardly any 718 Caymans priced below $50k with PDK and clean title/no accidents. I've looked on both CarMax and AutoTempest. Any other suggestions?

I've talked to a couple people in the car industry and they think the pricing will get better by December with auctions opening back up.
That said with Covid who knows what will happen....

I've been looking for a Cayman/Boxster in the area as well. Cars are insanely overpriced imo. I've also seen prices climb higher for months.

Don't forget to look on CarMax....They get a big variety of cars and always have some tasty Porsches. Prices vary but are fixed. No haggling.
