I am still on the fence on this one. Wheels should be done at paint in a week or so, but I want ceramic coat them first.

Have been looking at Continental Extreme Contact in the 245/35 and 275/45 sizes as I loves them on my 996TT. Also am seriously considering Vredestein Ultra Vorti as my brother loves his on his Lexus.

FWIW, from what I've gathered, tread wear ratings are not standardized, as each company has their own system/criteria.

Treadwear ratings are supposed to be universal, as there's a standard 100 UTQG tire that's the baseline against which all tires are supposed to compare. However, manufacturers game the heck outta the system and the government doesn't care, so in practice the UTQG has very little value.

In my previous experience, the Pirellis wore quickly.
