Is it wrong to like a Miami Blue 718?
Hi Everyone,
My wife gave me her blessing on getting a Porsche (currently have a Model 3 that I will trade in) and am debating between a 981 and a 718. Budget is $55k tops so I am thinking that will most likely get me into a base version for either model and I am fine with that. Not really getting the car for speed, but more for having fun around the curves and hearing an actual exhaust note . I just started looking around locally and there really is nothing available (would prefer a CPO if I get the 718 so I have a warranty) but I did find a Miami Blue one in Jersey where I are up and it really caught my eye. I normally just stick with colors that dont attract too much attention black, grey, and silver...but for my next car, I thought why not have some fun with it. I wanted to get an idea of what other people thought about the color. I was intending to get a white Cayman as I think they just look so clean or the agate grey, but I can't stop thinking about that Miami blue.
Thanks!

I'm sure you'll get responses all over the place since color is so subjective but I personally like Miami Blue a lot. So many cars are Black, Gray, White or Silver it's nice to see cars that stand out a bit. I have a Sapphire Blue and I love how the color stands out among all the white/blacks/silver etc. (disclaimer - I own a white car, and a gray suv as well). Someone posted a pic of their new Spyder on Facebook today and it looks great. I'd prefer it with black wheels but it looks good with the gold as well...If Miami Blue speaks to you, get a 718 in that color....Good Luck with your search.

Get what you like. Screw what other people think. Lots of folks like Miami Blue and think it’s a fun color. Many people also really dislike it and prefer other blues. It’s a pretty polarizing color—I happen to love it. Just make sure you see it in person as the majority of pictures taken of Miami Blue aren’t even close to what it looks like it real life.
No one can tell you what color is better for your taste and interests. The only consideration worth taking is that Miami Blue is a color that will now likely only be available on PTS lists from here on out (so getting MB on a future model will likely be a more costly proposition if you find you really want it). Greys, whites, etc will most likely be always be available as standard color options for current and future models, as well as generally being more available...FWIW.

If you are a big time Miami drug dealer or if you dream of becoming one, then go with the Miami Blue. If you also like the idea of being a hit-man on the side, equip it with gold wheels. If you can't resist trashy women, be sure to get a Spyder; they love cruising the Overtown neighborhood with the top down.

One mans pain is another mans pleasure. Color is very polarizing and subjective. Get what you want and be done with it.

I would say it’s one of the most popular sought after colors. Go for it!

@ OP. It is obvious Miami Blue has captured you. It captured me the first time I saw it in October 2017 at a hotel in Austin right after the Formula One race at COTA. I was smitten. I ordered my Cayman in Miami Blue with a 6MT because finding one was impossible. Grab your car before it is gone.
BTW, women swoon over the color- and they range in age from 16 to 70. Women know style.

Get the Miami! You will always be able to find it in a parking lot !
My Boxie is Graphite Blue, which I dearly love, but sometimes it just blends in too much!

I almost bought a Miami 991.2. Honestly I liked it on day 1 at the dealer. I went back the next day and saw it under different light and was no longer interested. What I wanted was a PTS blue.

Sorry, but what does PTS stand for? Is that a different set of colors?
