Can you share the option list?

I too worried about buying "gingerbread" like deviated stitching, full leather, black aluminum trim, and gloss black spoiler, door handles, and wheels all at extra cost, plus the $2,800 for Miami Blue. In the end, I wished I would have added a yellow sport chrono dial for ~$800.

One other thought about your red top. I owned a 944 Turbo for 23 years. It had burgundy leather and carpets and dash. I disliked the color every time I drove. It was a testament to the car's abilities that I kept it that long.

Gts 4.0 but not that one because it must have no options on it. Msrp starting 2023 was 92 and change.

Yeah I’m going to keep my built S. This GTS is way to expensive for a base build that I’m not fond of. Thanks everyone for your input.

However, note that relative to an S model, all GTS models have significant performance options - LSD, sports exhaust, PASM, etc - baked in, not to mention the flat 6 engine. So, relative to the S it has a lot of options. But, it is true that it lacks many other potential options that might be desirable. If the OP values the performance options and engine highly, then a few thousand more for a 4.0 is well worth it. If he values luxury options, etc, more highly, than, maybe not. But I'd take a stripper GTS myself for $6k more. Also, I'd reserve $5k for a Kline exhaust to put on it.

I like your choice of options with the Chalk paint. The rear wing in black and black wheels and clear taillights will really make your Chalk paint look great! And the carbon fiber interior trim will carry on the black theme.

In addition, if you want more power you can add an APR or Cobb tune. You'll easily have more power than the 4.0 with a tune.

I agree with keeping it. Send a picture of the CF shifter please when you get it. Right now I'm on the brushed aluminum - but no clue what looks good.

I bought 2019 Boxster GTS with 2.5 engine, never again! By the time I got home I knew I’d made a mistake, didn’t like tiny engine, sound or performance. Once 4.0 came out I ordered one, now happy. 2.5 isn’t a Porsche, 4.0 is!

That's dumb. I have a 2.5, 3.0, and a MotorSports 4.0 in the garage. The 2.5 is most definitely a Porsche. Has more torque than the MS 4.0 which is nice for everyday driving, living, and commuting. Each has a place. And def no need to disparage the tens of thousands of Porsche owners who have a 2.0 or 2.5

I have a manual BGTS 4.0 so maybe I'm biased but having driven the 2.5s its a great drivers car as well. I actually think you will have more fun driving the turbo 4 around town due to the massive low end torque and it sounds pretty sweet in its own unique way.

My 4.0 with a valve controller and OAP's takes things to a different level. Had her for 2 1/2 years and she still gives me the fizz every time I fire her up!

Buy what your gut tells you, enjoy it, you cant go wrong with either choice

Personally, I would go with the 4.0 over any turbo version.

It definitely is too high--in August I bought from a CA Porsche dealer, a CPO 2022 718 Boxster GTS 4.0 that stickered for $112,580 and paid a cash sale price of $110,998 (and fees of $113--I was out of state and paid TTL in TX). Car was originally purchased by Porsche Design and never titled. Car had 2518 miles and under warranty until December 2027. So effectively under warranty longer than a 2024 bought new in August would have been. No way would I be paying over sticker for a CPO car but that's just me. As for the choice between the two, well you know my vote.
