2024 718 Boxster S vs 2023 GTS 4.0 CPO
Wanted to get everyone’s opinion on what to do. Currently have a 718 Boxster S on order for December delivery customized exactly how I want it ($105k msrp) and to be picked up 3.5 hrs from where I live. At the same time, a 2023 CPO GTS 4.0 is now available locally with 3700 miles at a price of 111k (original sticker 98k). I might be able to get them to sell at 105k.
what does everyone think?
thanks!

That's dumb. I have a 2.5, 3.0, and a MotorSports 4.0 in the garage. The 2.5 is most definitely a Porsche. Has more torque than the MS 4.0 which is nice for everyday driving, living, and commuting. Each has a place. And def no need to disparage the tens of thousands of Porsche owners who have a 2.0 or 2.5

I have a 2018 CGTS and a 2022 Boxster 25. If I could ONLY have one, it would be the B25 with the 4.0. The 2.5T in the CGTS is great and I really enjoy driving it. But the 4.0 is special. We traded our 2.0T Boxster for the B25 with absolutely no regrets.

$111K is too much. $105 or less IMO.

Test drive a 4.0 if you haven’t yet. The hype is mostly justified

Thanks for all the responses so far. Test driving is bit of a challenge. Dealers around me are a bit difficult allowing that.
as far as spec, the GTS build isnt exactly what I would have chosen especially the red top but I think I can get over that. The S I build mostly has cosmetic choices I love but the GTS probably has better mechanical choices like psam torque vectoring and a NA six. Anyone feel like the turbo 4 has qualities similar to a GTI or WRX? I’ve had 3 different GTIs in my life and definitely don’t want that same feeling.

Are you getting a discount on the 718 S?
Does color matter to you?
Does the GTS 4.0 have a color you like?
I bought my 718 GTS 2.5 over the 981 precisely because it was the only way to get Miami Blue (at the time).
You need to know your psyche. I know mine. If I bought another color and saw a Miami Blue 718 I would pine for it.
If you care about resale, the 4.0 is almost certainly better.
