^^ 718 looks better to my eye. Much better proportions.
Agree. The Speedster looks positively ungainly to me while the Spyder looks purposeful and poised. I also wonder what percentage of Speedster buyer will actually drive their cars. To me, the purpose of the Speedster is to add it to your collection, impress your friends, and then flip it.
The Speedster is hideous. If ever there was a car version of The Emperor's New Clothes, it's always been the Porsche Speedster. Somewhere in a Porsche conference room, someone should have said...

While that may be true for some, I generally disagree. The people who I know with Speedsters have multiple Porsches and other brands in their garage and intend to keep and drive them. Their limiting factor is time as they spread the miles over a 5, 10 or more cars in their collection.
i like the 718 Spyder but the Speedster is a more special car and prettier to my eyes.
came across this first Spyder to be displayed at dealer in our Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Thought I would share here, if anyone is considering this combo.
that poor Spyder must feel like Ralphie from A Christmas Story when he had to wear pink bunny pajamas.

haha great analogy - but I disagree this build looks like superman. Very cool.
I'll second that, big fan of a dark blue car with red interior (and top!). Maybe i'm a little biased though, as I'd love this spec to go along with my E46:
