This is OEM headers(manifolds), then GT4 race pipe with no silencers or cats. My System: https://www.jcr-developments.com/por...-(non-silenced)

Cruising at 70 is tolerable in 5th gear. 6th is too much drone. 55 in 6th is also tolerable and not bad. There is a pretty strong resonance on startup that is very drony around 2k RPM, but that soon goes away after cold start is done.

I took much better videos yesterday that I will be posting today.

That is insane. I've always liked the look of the superlight pipe as well. Now that I have a DD I really want it haha

Yep, I found the drone unbearable and I can handle a loud exhaust. Get rid of the drone part and it would be awesome.

Worth noting you had a completely different combination of parts to those mentioned above

Sound level and drone are incredibly subjective. We have guys running full race pipes on DD's with zero complaints of drone, other owners out there who think / believe / feel that even the stock exhaust drones...

We offer a huge range of choice for each model so I do feel we have a solution for everyone out there

In your opinion... I don't notice drone when I was driving my GT4 daily, including one-hour long trips on the freeway. Even in fuel-saving mode the odd sound never bothered me either. Honestly sometimes I wonder if I just got used to it or am getting deaf, but the exhaust and road noise are no longer a big deal to me. Do you still think i would notice the drone with the super light race pipe? I would probably do the sound tube delete-thing as well.

Thankfully I also just got a DD which is the complete opposite of my GT4 fortunately

I have sound tube delete done as well. There is drone, but not unbearable. I am daily driving my GT4. The sound it makes is so so worth it. I truly cannot reach for any other keys right now or in the future. This is the best car Porsche has built for the enthusiast to date now that it sounds right.

@kj71109 Cool editing, you managed to put the sound of my Spyder along with your GT4!

Mine drones a bit too much at the usual frequencies. I would be interested if the new owners could tell me if they feel the same (knowing that there is a bit of subjectivity here). I am yet to try the sound-thingy disconnection.

Whatcha' running with the rear section and in which car...?

The sound-thingy makes a lot more difference for the GT4 then it does the Spyder, also depends on the rest of the system, OAP and Headers.
