And heated seats, but the Spyder seems to have some "free" goodies too. I just noticed that the brushed aluminum (incl black) interior trim comes free in the Spyder, and its interior shows almost no chrome pieces. The GTS interior shows chrome pieces even with the optional black aluminum trim. The configurator doesn't seem to be 100% operational.

Alcantara is a brand name for artificial suede. It seems porsche changed their supplier of the material and are calling it Race-Tex now. Alcantara was the company that developed it years ago.

“Race-Tex” material is used, a high-quality microfibre material partially consisting of recycled polyester fibres. Its production has 80 percent less CO2 than traditional materials.

I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I paid 3500-ish on my old UV RS to get rid of the white/silver dev stitching in exchange for black (no deviated stitch). Yes, that was crazy; I left it silver/white on the 991.2.

I had decided to sit out the 718 gt4 and spyder after owning both variants of the 981 at one time and especially loving the spyder, partially because of how suspension was more tuned for the street than gt4. However, the idea of a gts with exact same drive-train, but making it a more “plush” cruiser is starting to grow on me. Yes I’ll miss the visual queues of the spyder (I think P’s prettiest current offering), but gaining a push-button top, heated/cooled sofas and I’m not even sure if the GT suspension is a good or bad thing for a street-use convertible? Again I preferred the 981 spyder over the gt4 on street. Question on that: I noticed on configurator that there is an option for PASM or no-PASM. What gives here? 981 Spyder didn’t have PASM, correct? It had the 981 gts suspension w/out PASM? And the explanation for ride night on config is also confusing. If anyone can shed some light on PASM/no-PASM and associated ride height for each option, that would be appreciated. If it is already addressed above, I apologize.

It has PASM Sport (-20mm) as standard, and the option is letting you choose just PASM (-10mm) if you want a more compliant suspension, and a slightly higher ride height.
You get PASM in both offerings, one is "PASM Sport", the other is just "PASM"

Sport PASM (SPASM) with 20mm drop is now standard. PASM with its 10mm drop (which means the car is raised 10mm as compared to standard in which SPASM is fitted) is now optional. I believe the 981 spyder had x73 which is now gone and replaced with SPASM.

Looks like the configurator works now. Am I mis-remembering, or did the GTS interior package used to be significantly cheaper? It's over 5k now.

Selecting Premium Package doesn't change the rendering to show the correct headlights. They still display as Xenons even though they are LED.
