I weaponized my autism to create this (link to thread with my excel):

https://rennlist.com/forums/991-gt3-...th-prices.html

Basically, you can paint things, put leather (or other finishes like wood or carbon for interior) on things, and get stickers. If you are really special, you can get some really special finishes (like blue carbon fiber). Or for mega bucks, liquid chrome or chromaflair paint.

I have seen a few more things (leather frunk, painted grill intakes etc.) recently that may not be on the list.

The one clear line is nothing mechanical, even the littlest change, for example, you can’t do a MF heated wheel in a car where it is not an option.

CXX is cool, but for a lot of stuff, you are probably better off buying from parts/techequipment and installing.

An auratium green spyder with ascot brown LWB including the centers, no alcantara, and wood details would be about perfect for me. All I would CXX are the seats (with the base interior) and then swap the door pulls and center armrest for black leather (maybe I could trade someone who wanted alcantara), and then fit the wood wheel/dash trim/**** from techequipment to save some money over CXX.

Default As of today (Feb 11,2020) what is know about CXX for the 718 Spyder????

I finally have my 718 Spyder allocation from Porsche of Colorado Springs.
It was communicated to me last week. They are in process of checking
with PCNA if CXX is available & when/if any other color is added to palette
for this model. Will post what they find out & tell me.

Toronto: Do you have any further information from the date you posted this

According to him, my Late April allocation deadline for CXX was back in
December. Might be the same for May USA allocations as well as we are
at the end of January already. June and beyond might be possible? Pricing
won’t be cheap... wasn’t for my 981 Spyder CXX options.
Donavan: Do you have any update on what is the latest info re: CXX or
any additional color option from your contacts? I have commission # and
my built date will be for late May 2020 with June 2020 delivery. Specs do
not 'freeze' until sometime in March, so I have a little time to see what
PAG is allowing to be ordered for May production on the 718 Spyder.

I appreciate any & all information anyone might have on this topic (CXX
and/or added exterior colors). Thank you in advance for any assistance.

Saludos,
Eduardo

Congrats on your allocation!

I am told last week leather to sample is not available but CXX in general is. Upholstery choices are limited to what is available in the 718 line up, this too would need to be confirmed with the Factory upon specification by me. I have asked additional questions about leather colours among other CXX options. It's been a couple days so still waiting to hear back. I don't have firm pricing on anything yet.

CXX availability also seems to depend on your allocation and perhaps country. I say this because another user here said they could not get CXX but I can. I think our lock dates are close together and we are different countries.

Have you gotten anywhere with your CXX?

I’ve heard nothing yet but I haven’t been bugging anyone at this point either.

If I stick with white as the exterior color I might inquire about a couple of CXX option but would be OK if they tell me they can't do it or not available.
My build is not even confirmed as we are waiting for a PDK slot after September 2020 so have time to do the research and let Porsche fix the Lizard Green issue

Has anyone seen this yet? Pay 7500 euros to make your car worthless.

They can paint your fingerprint on your hood but they can't paint a spyder in more than 5 colors.

Yeah, a bit odd. You wonder sometimes where these things come from? Perhaps they've gotten requests to put your fingerprint on the hood. They aren't even launching with print whatever you want, rather launching with fingerprint option.

I'm guessing this is different because it'll be done off the assembly line as part of exclusive manufaktur.

Maybe this is along the lines of licking the door handle? (as seen in an old VW commercial...)

A muddy-the-waters data point. I went in yesterday for some maintenance, and changed my caliper color to black. I asked about simply changing the door mirror to all exterior color, and was told there were no CXX options available at this time.

I was just told NO CXX for GT4 only Spyder until Oct 2020 deliveries. Major bummer.

Any more updates... your freeze date should be coming soon? Unfortunately not a good indication your request is being excepted. Hope I’m wrong.

Unfortunately things seem to be moving at a glacial pace. I can do it, my order is on hold pending meeting with factory. This update was few days ago. I am hoping it won't delay my order much if at all.

To close my journey off with this, here's the conclusion.

Tried to get a meeting set with PAG for about 3-4 weeks to go over CXX. They were apparently supposed to contact me, never did. Then last week said they are busy due to COVID-19 stuff and if I wanted CXX I'd have to wait for maybe 3Q or 4Q delivery and discuss with them within next couple months when availability opened up.

This was honestly a poor experience as I had expressed CXX interest last year and sent a list in Jan, couldn't get it sorted in 2 months.

I'm not doing CXX on this car because I don't want to take delivery late summer or in the fall.

Porsche really needs to improve the ordering experience if they want to offer Exclusive and CXX. Not sure their difficulty in getting it right when other manufacturers do it, seemingly easily.
