Dang, I had made peace with my decision to get PCCB's on this car, then you link that thread in to spoil my dream!

My dealer had this GT3 in the showroom when I was speccing my Spyder. I think the black wheels do match the Chalk car the best, but I just don't like the whole black wheel thing. I chose the platinum wheels for my build, and think it is a happy medium between the better matching black and the silver that I think look out of place with the Chalk paint.

Chalk with Platinum wheels looks terrible...

Spyder is supposed to be a fun car … wouldn't own a boring primer colored chalk car if the color was free. Silver wheels do not look good with it ... platinum is better but still yuck. YMMV

Good, keep this going, the less people that opt for Chalk the happier I will be!

You would hate my first choice then, Nardo Grey...

I was considering chalk and platinum on my order. Didn’t know if it was going to work well or not but I think that answers the question... it certainly does. Would be interested to see chalk platinum and black roof.

I have yet to see this combo on an actual Spyder, but here it is on a 718 Boxster...

I'm a firm believer that certain colors work on certain cars and not on others. I am not a fan of chalk on the 991/992 shape at all, but it looks so right on the Spyder and the GT4.

You’ll forget all about it once you’ve had a chance experience how well they brake. 👍

Digging this thread back up now that more cars are being delivered.

Any new photos of Chalk with platinum satin wheels (preferably with a black top)? Seems like a few red top chalk and satins floating around but I don’t believe I’ve seen black top chalk satin. I am strongly considering this for my build spec but need to see some chalk photos in this combo and in daylight preferably. Otherwise Carrara it is.

I too have never seen a Spyder in black/chalk/satin let alone in an outside setting... but I promise once mine arrives I will post a picture!

I saw Chalk on a 911 at the PEC Atlanta. My recollection is it is definitely gray. A really beautiful and special color. Gorgeous with a red and black interior. But so many pictures show it as cream or off white. Here's a video that, I think, shows Chalk as it really appears...also an interesting GT4 review:
