The 7000SLX is also discounted to $1150. I'm still leaning towards the Twin Busch TW S3 - 10E @ $1995 + shipping.

Thanks very much. I've ordered one to handle wheel off work that can't be done easily on my 4 post. I've been waiting for a sale on this lift, and I appreciate the heads up!

Any downsides to getting the 7000SLX for extra redundancy and wider range of vehicles? Would it fit most Porsches, BMW sedans, etc? It's $1200, btw -- $400 off.

7000slx fits fine for my GT4 so I guess it will fit most P cars.

So the 7000 is a no-brainer then. Same 3" clearance, extra strength/safety, and wider range of vehicles (SUV's included). The only "cost" is the 10-15% extra weight due to the lower gauge steel frame. Am I missing anything?

Nope, I guess the only consideration would be if you were transporting it for track events the lighter weight might come in handy.

So can you have these two just resting pulled together on the garage floor under a parked car when not on use, then spread them apart when a car needs to be lifted? Trying to visualize the use with minimum movement and shuffling around the garage.

or you can get the $26 wall hangers ... but I dont see any reason why you could not drive over them...

I see an OPF install and a GT3 ctr bypass in my future!

Well my question was would they be tight enough together on the floor that my wheels would clear around them and I wouldn't have to drive OVER them each time I park the car. Wall hangers mean lugging 100+ pound chunks of metal up, down, and around every time I need a car lift. Prefer not to do that if I can avoid it.

For the money I don't think you can beat a MaxJax. I've paid for mine several times over and the convenience of rolling around underneath my vehicles is soooo nice! I know some might not have the floor strength, but few garages are too short for it to fit.

Does anyone know if the quikjack can be used to store a car lifted for the winter. Was thinking of doing this and removing my wheels/tires.

Thanks !!

Why would you want to do that? Not good for the suspension to be left unloaded for so long.
