Got my PEC Atlanta delivery scheduled
I got the notice today from PEC Atlanta that I could select a date for delivery of my new GTS 4.0 Cayman. March 24 was the first available date, I didn't expect so long a wait, but they only "deliver" 6 cars a week so I guess that's the reason. Car was completed on Feb 4. I grabbed the 24th as I didn't want to run into April.

When does it get to port? I was told it’s typically 4-6 weeks after it hits the port - for that reason, I passed. I think you’re doing pretty well with your timeline. And congrats!

I haven't received the schedule showing shipment yet, just the completion date and projected dates for everything subsequent to that. I realize it could sit at Emden a couple of weeks waiting for a boat, and then there's the transit time, but I just thought early March was reasonable expectation. I'm only guest the small number of cars delivered per week at the PEC is why March 24 was first available date. I only live 2 hours from the PEC so it's easy f6me to do, but I realize I'm going to get it later than if I'd picked it up at the dealer. At least the weather will be warmer.

Actually the cars are held at port of Jacksonville, no room at PEC for extras. According to my SA it arrives at Davisville on 2/25 and then Jax 3-4 days later. So 24 days to prep and inspect it before I pick it up.

Picked up my 2021 Boxster GTS 4.0 at Atlanta last weekend. It was so good, I had to check my pulse frequently to see if I was dead. It was so good, could have been heaven, could be dead. LOL. That said, there was nothing they could have done to improve the experience. Sublime!! Track time was good, but not the high-speed event that a track day with the Porsche Club is. Good times on the Kick Plate and the wet skidpad. The Porsche shop gives a 15% discount too. I bought way too much stuff. LOL

Stunning car! One question if you know: I'm planning to put some track wrap on my car before leaving, is there an area where they might allow me to do that?

Because I was the only delivery that day, they let me put my track wrap on in the bay as pictured above. And let me leave the car there until the next morning when we left. Just ask, they'll figure something out. (By the way, applying track wrap with your wife is relationship building.)
