For sure, any 4.0 flat 6 is a good value. Probably the last non-turbo, non electric, mid-engine Porsche model.

Completely agree with olegd, may be the last great engine in the Cayman. Or maybe Porsche has more up their sleeve??

Just saying.

The 718 GTS 4.0 is good value... if you can't be bothered with a 981. 981 will give you 95% of the experience for 50% of the cost...

No question that 981 GTS is excellent. But the main weakness compared to 981 GT4 is the engine (3.4L vs 3.8L). In the 982 generation, GTS got the exact same 4.0L motor as the GT4. This is what makes it much better value.
Of course it is not official that this 4.0 will be the last NA engine from Porsche, in a non-GT variant, but its likely.
