How to: Change your door pull straps/color change!
Not my video. I just found it on youtube recently. But it's short and straight to the point
I believe he is referring to this Polypropylene Webbing on Amazon. Comes in MANY colors!
Cool project! I'm thinking this would probably work similarly on any other Porsche that has factory door pull straps.

Awesome find!! For $12 and a little bit of elbow grease, I can definitely see myself swapping out to different colours here and there. I also like the idea of leaving less slack to have the pull straps just a touch tighter.

I like the idea of being able to swap out the straps if one should become dirty/soiled.

If I can find it in miami blue then i'm sold! I might order the pacific blue and powder blue and see how close of a match they are.
Door handles not matching the seat belts was such a missed opportunity by Porsche.

I actually just realised I already have a roll of this stuff in my garage. Once the car arrives (3 more weeks!) I’ll see how it goes.

I received Black ones in my Racing Yellow Spyder but I am getting Black leather one with Yellow stitching since I have it throughout my interior now - if someone wants a pair of Black ones let me know.

OEM strap is 1" wide, 11.55" long and 0.076" thick.
The inability to spec Miami Blue stitching and door handles is very frustrating. I've been working on the door straps for the past 9 months and have a few options:
Printed Option 1: I sent factory belts to Gaphix, they matched and printed straps. Weave is different than factory, material is approximately 0.02" thinner than OEM material and color is close but not perfect. They skew more blue than the belts. Note that the Miami Blue option on their site is for paint matched, belt matched will require an email and is currently sold out. Turnaround time was almost 6 months and cost was $150 for two straps. https://imgur.com/a/GEMSS76
Printed Option 2 is from Strapworks. Weave still different, approximately 0.01" thinner than OEM material, sample color slightly more green than option 1 which puts it slightly closer to OEM belts but again not perfect. More cost effective than option 1. I have 30 feet of production webbing showing up on Monday. If anyone is interested I'm happy to cut some extra straps and send out. https://imgur.com/a/DZ9rQLG
I'm also working with a few dye shops to see if I can get a little bit closer on the material and color. I need to produce straps from a few material samples they've provided, which should be done next week. Weave is still different than OEM, but material thickness of the samples I have on hand are within a few thousands of an inch of the OEM straps. Once material has been selected I'll be sending in my passenger belt for them to create a matching dye, which should be 6-8 weeks based on the current schedule. MOQs will leave me with enough material for 300 straps, so again happy to cut and ship out extras once production material shows up.

For what it is worth. I saw a car that has the elcheapo door pull material and it is not of the same quality and feels cheap so if you want to save money but are willing to accept it not being as nice that is an option.
