Finally secured an allocation and my build freeze date is coming up. I have decided to go Gentian Blue with Satin Aluminum/Silver wheels and silver stitching inside.
However I am torn between the caliper color. I am choosing between the high gloss black or red calipers.
My theory behind the black gloss calipers is that the red clashes with the blue considering it is a primary color, and I do not want to change the stitching inside to red. However, I do think that the black gloss calipers look a little dull unless I do the silver "PORSCHE" decal on the side by the door (will insert pictures).
I am starting to like the red calipers more because it really makes the car pop, but again I'm torn between which one to go with. If I go red, I won't do the PORSCHE decal on the doors.
I've inquired about it to my detailer but he said that painting them would cause them to easily chip over the years, and he's right as I have a friend who bought a 981 GT4 with painted yellow calipers and it kept chipping.
As for powder coating it seems to be a major PITA and I don't want to seem like a poser as I am not going PCCB's lol.
So at the moment, the only options are black and red
Can you share the rest of the config? Interior etc? The whole config language should be balanced so important to know the rest

Red and blue look great together and the red calipers add some visual interest…a little pop of color. Black will be invisible which lets the silver wheels get all the attention. Once the car arrives you will be having too much fun to care so I say save yourself the money and stick with red.

I agree with Jeff. I like the red, especially with the silver wheels.
I’ve got GB with Platinum wheels and Black calipers. Would never spec red calipers on GB, clashes too much. Love the black calipers, even thought about silver calipers as photoshopped in the image attached.
I am personally speccing a Spyder now, and balancing the colours is important. I don't feel that the red clashes at all, and it's a classic Porsche caliper colour.
What you do inside the car isn't what's outside the car, especially with a coupe. This is what I am looking to do:
- Outside like yours (only platinum wheels)
- Blacking out Porsche on the back
- Silver stitching inside, standard seatbelts and yellow gauges, and exterior painted bits inside.
Red all the way with GB. Looks great and really pops. The massive brakes on the GT4 are one of its biggest performance differentiators from other Caymans and other sports cars. Embrace them. Don't try to hide them by making them black.

Agree 100%. That thing which many people do on this board obsessing that their dashboard stitching color must match their brake caliper color is a bizarre thing to me that only Porsche people care about.
