Greetings from a new GT4 owner
Folks, I have been a long time Rennlist member and recently purchased my GT4.
My first Porsche was a 2008 987 Boxster Lmt. (orange and black) manual transmission which I loved driving. I got an opportunity to move into a very low mileage 2007 997.1 Turbo in Guards Red with Tiptronic and from there moved into a 2017 991.2 Turbo S PTS Arena Red with all the bells and whistles. Both turbos were fast and slick but both lacked the fun of the mid engine platform and the manual transmission. So when this PTS GT4 showed up at my dealer I fell in love all over again. this car already had the Akropovic exhaust, Expel film on front clip, rockers and rear bumper. I am getting the windows tinted and a stealth K40 installed along with paint correction and ceramic coating on all non-filmed paint. The silver wheels on this car are not my thing so OEM satin blacks are on order from Suncoast along with matching GT4 center caps. Is there a market for the silver wheels that are coming off?
I'm new to the GT4 family and not sure if I should try the market place or just keep them for a backup set, maybe for winter or track use. I have posted very little but have read a lot and tried to gain knowledge from the community.

Congrats on the car! The wheels you should keep as spares, and powder coat to your desired color.

Ordering a second set of wheels for a color change is a lot of money imho. If you want two sets of wheels/tires for seasonal or track use, it’s a great way to do. If you really only want one set of wheels/tires, having the silver refinished to whatever color you want would only cost about $1000 for a very high quality job.
i agree that the silver finish on these wheels is rather boring. I like silver wheels but this finish is just a bit dull.

Welcome. You can buy lightweight wheels if you want but for the occasional track use the Silver ones will suffice, and I agree that the sheen is boring...should have been shiny. I was almost ready to order them until I saw them in person - went with Satin Black. You can always put them in the Marketpllace though and see if you can get something for them - does not hurt.
