I am VERY disappointed in Porsche Cars North America.

This is supposed to be an event for All Porsche enthusiasts.

“California and Porsche are a dream pairing, and the Monterey Peninsula is an ideal spot to bring the two together for an unforgettable weekend with so much happening both on and off the track” said Kjell Gruner, President and CEO of Porsche Cars North America Inc. “Rennsport Reunion is for everyone"

Tell this to the guy from Miami who would have to travel 44 hours (2,973 miles) to attend. Or someone from from Boston who has to travel 47 hr (3,194 miles) to attend.

Having this in California is not inclusive. There are lots of tracks such as Road America, Indianapolis Motor Speedway, or Circuit of the Americas that would at least be somewhat centrally located in the US, and have the same level of facilities and infrastructure as Laguna Seca.

Alienating more than half of your enthusiasts is not a way to increase your sales or business.

Just my $.02.

The 2023 date coincides with Porsche’s re-entry into the top level of endurance racing in the LMDh class, and we also expect to see new electric Porsches make appearances — like the upcoming Macan EV and possibly the 718 EV.

you might try flying... its faster!

I say this because if it was on the E. Coast we'd be the ones traveling ... and not by car, bus, or train!

We have flown to the last two Rennsport Reunions at Laguna Seca. But we would love to be able to attend in a Porsche, not some rental. When was the last time you attended Rennsport in a rental Kia????

This is the reason PCA moves Parade around to a different location every year. PCNA needs to follow suit.

Reasons why start at the 22:30 mark. Actually 25:57 for the location.

I think the video pretty much explains why PCNA chose to have the event at Laguna Seca. Probably one other factor to add is because California is the car capital of the US and sells a large majority of Porsches if not the largest. Aside from that, I do think weather was an important factor and simply because Monterey at that time of year is gorgeous. Who doesn't want to spend time in the fall at the Monterey coast?
