Default Hesitation from 1000-1500 RPM normal? (GT4 6MT)

So at a complete stop, pushing the gas WOT from idle my car seems to hesitate/bog. It almost feels like I'm feathering the gas but I'm not. Reproduces about 50% of the time, no engine codes. At higher RPMs, it's fine.

I took it into a dealership and they said "Your car is driving as designed. Being that this car is a GT car it is more raw then a normal manual transmission".

Can anyone else confirm that they experience this or always get 100% linear acceleration from a dig?

Edit:

added video and more details ^

Thanks!

I know there's a soft limiter for revving that tops at 4k RPM when you are stationary. But are you saying when you launch the car it hesitates? Or are you taking off and then immediately WOT? If the latter, the hesitation will 100% happen. If you are trying to launch the car you need to put the car above 3k RPM at least before popping the clutch.

Taking off at a light with significant to WOT but starting at a low RPM. Launching from a stop at higher RPMs is fine.

Edit: Why would taking off, then WOT cause hesitation?

I'm not a mechanic so I can't speak to what's happening, but in every single MT car I've ever owned if I do a slow take off and then just pin it, the car will always hesitate for a second. And specifically I'm talking about the NA cars (BRZ, S2000). I've always found I had to roll on the throttle. There was even a time where something similar happened in my M2 Competition (I know twin turbo so a bit different) and the car started doing the back and forth bucking thing till I clutched back in and slowed down. It was super weird.

Ill have to take a video to show, I don't think I've ever had this issue with other cars. Even with a normal take off, it feels and sounds horrible.

Turn nannies off and repeat tests.

Yeah a video would help. Its possible I'm misinterpreting what you are saying.

I believe it is a 6 speed problem. Not an issue with a PDK gear box. 🤣🤣

So you’re clutch out, near idle, and rapidly commanding WOT? Yeah, not gonna like that…too much requested load at a very low RPM.

A couple of things come to mind.
1. Are you maybe in too high of a gear?
2. Before you go WOT, is your clutch fully engaged meaning like the car isn't bucking around or just right at the moment of engagement?
3. Maybe you got a bad batch of gas?
4. Maybe at your last fill up, the tanker mixed up the regular and premium and you didn't get 91 octane and it's pinging/misfiring?
5. Maybe clogged injectors, carbon build up or maybe bad injectors, bad spark plug?
6. Maybe try doing a battery disconnect reset of the system?
7. Were you driving with Auto Start/Stop on and maybe the car was in 3 cylinder mode and then all of a sudden going WOT threw it for a loop?
