I just went from Soul slash cut tips back to OEM. The OEM ones are actually very nice, but the issue is the gaps in the diffuser show the silver muffler. I painted that section of my muffler with $5 can of VHT brake caliper paint, vast visual improvement.

CarGraphic make some nice tips too.

Curious if you removed the muffler section to do this or did you paint it while it was mounted to the car?

I did not remove. Just tape and cover near by areas you don't want to get overspray. Wipe down area with IPA. Remove tips. Give 3 light coats and you are done.

I have the Akra tips and slip on as well on my GT4. I’ve considered the CF diffuser. Looks great, could you post more pics of it?

So much flex.

FWIW, I believe the Akra tips require the Akra Ti exhaust—a fact that makes me quite sad. Unless someone can create a custom clamp, I'm pretty sure I read that the Akra tips don't work on the OEM muffler.

Another option is the JCR line of titanium and Inconel tips (tip adapter required to work on OEM muffler). Not cheap, but the quality look fantastic.

I *think* this is the case - not 100% certain though - although I suspect that the OEM 4RS "935" tips will fit the OEM exhaust

Correct, the awesome looking Akra tips will only work with the Akra slip on. I did a lot of research on this before I purchased both. Thankfully the slip on provided a great sound and significant weight savings. Unless someone has developed an after market adapter, I believe this is still the case.

The Soul double-wall 4" tips do a nice job of filling the openings, and I have used black high-temp paint as well, with a brush while still on the car:
