Default GT4RS and PPF

Anyone of you with experience on the need of PPF on the wing in terms of stone chips flying over the car and getting sucked down onto the wing? Maybee some of you have references from 992 GT3 or 991 GT3 RS. Doing PPF on most of the car but I have not opted for the wing (yet). Got the weekend to think about it before they start.

I asked ap on Instagram, he said he would cover all the exposed carbon bits for whatever that is worth. I hate ppf but I will likely do the whole car.

I'd recommend it...you'd be surprised how rocks can find the wing.
I'll certainly be adding a full wrap on my GT4RS similar to my other GT cars.

Small price to pay for piece of mind.

I recently took delivery of my PTS GT4, and I refuse to drive it until every inch of it is PPF’d, it’s just not worth it. Paid to have it delivered on an enclosed truck, and will pay again to have it taken to the detailers.

My GT4 might be PTS but it’s still less “special” than your GT4 RS. Get the hole thing done, and then use it for what it was built for - worry free (ish).

You’ll thank me later!

I would also do the whole car but for the front will request the thicker Xpel...specially on front fenders and side rockers.

^^ 100% Agreed on Xpel Track wrap (thicker) in those areas.
I've started having my PPF guy do this on all the daily driver cars too.
I mean why not...especially when he doesn't charge me any extra.

almost the same exact story, sans-PTS. I’ve been patient for so long waiting for the build, what’s another couple of weeks wait to ensure the car is as protected as it can be for road rash.

drove it about a mile in total, and cannot wait for the next 20k of them.

This area will need the thickest PPF you can get and if going to the track an additional layer of Track Wrap just in case......

I just got the track package plus sill, shark fin. rear guards, mirrors and all leading edges on scoops etc. I had a double film applied to the area behind the front wheel. It comes with a film from Porsche but my shop took that off and double skinned it. I've done a fair few back road kms and it's already earned its keep.

I have done a full xpel wrap on my car gt4rs also. I have heard stories of the carbon coming away from the mirror body. Did anyone hear the same?
