Also can someone verify if there is restricted space for tightening the secondary oil tank “end cap” plug (as with the main/pan drain plug)?
I am looking to determine if there is adequate space to utilize the Klein tool with handle which I posted in the previous post (for the purpose of turning the plastic oil tank plug).

Does anyone have the tightening torque specification for the engine oil filter part #0PB115351? Does anyone have the corresponding Porsche document referencing it which could be posted?
Obviously the filter is tightened to around 16 ft-lbs and hand tight, but I was wanting to be precise on this for a reference guide I am working on.

Hello there, sorry about the time lapse here but have been away for a while, will try to answer as best I can.
1. I believe I added oil 3 times, the 4th jar as I remember was a sample taken from the last and 3rd flush, ie loosened the plug to get a sample then tightened fully, used a total of approx 12 litres of oil.
2. Yes I think at least 1 flush would be beneficial, 2 obviously better if possible.
3. I think I actually left the rear hatch open all the time, however not 100% sure with my memory what it is, I do remember it took quite a while to get a reading as it only appeared once the engine was up to full operating temperature as you mentioned. I just basically put in the same amount that came out and it was always on the money.

3) My experience with recent Porsches in general (992.1, 991.2, 981) — and more specifically to this discussion, with my 718 Cayman GTS 4.0 and also my 718 Boxster GTS 4.0 — is that the gods of Porsche oil level display do not want to allow a display of oil level if the rear hatch has remained open for any amount of time more than about a minute; it takes a while for oil the level display to reappear. I do not have the Porsche computer but I’ve worked with someone who has it and if using the computer through OBD, this is not an issue. I am assuming you were not using the computer during this procedure.
(a) Can you comment on this phenomenon of oil level display lockout as it relates to your procedure of refilling and checking / making additions to the oil level?
(b) Were you able to see an oil level display all the time during this process, or did the display at first say “No oil level information available at present” for a duration of time while idling and then the level suddenly appeared when the engine was just about warm? If applicable, is there a trick to prompting the system to display the oil level immediately?

I have found the GT4rs oil reading is a lot quicker and has a "path" vs my 991.2 3.0 which seems random....
Pretty much, close the hatch, start the car and let it warm up to 170 or 175 degrees, on level ground, then check the oil level. It will then run through a 2 minute countdown on the gauge, and then show you the oil level once the 2mins is up. Have to be at a standstill for the reading, can't be driving.
I don't remember the actual temp, but it will tell you if it's not warm enough. And I believe it's in the 175 range. It's prob 80 degrees Celsius which is 176....

My 991 and 718 2.5 always give that no oil level information. So totally know what you're talking about about. Follow the few steps above and you will always get the 4rs oil level easily. Just may have to wait for the temp, level ground, not driving, and 2min countdown.
I dont recall if it's in the owners manual. But I spent too much time on the False Grid at Road America waiting to go on track this past year, messing around with the gauges, as I learned about the track tire pressure settings and then trying to check the oil level. And was able to repeat it at will, everytime. And if one of the requirements is missing, it will tell you when you're checking...."not at operating temp" "must not be moving" "wait 120s for oil level". Something to that effect
