Agree - it basically confirms if you’ve successfully met the target date of each milestone. The fact that it sometimes doesn’t give an update when that date is reached is itself a data point which actually means the date hasn’t been met.

I was at the local dealer the other day looking at two SRS's in the showroom and the SA I'm friendly with said that TYD just creates problems for them because so many people take the dates as gospel and when it's at port and says it should be on its way or delivered they keep asking where there car is because the tracker says it should be delivered. Meanwhile it's still in the port... That said there is no reason to get upset over a delay on a toy.

A few of these have landed in the us, so we have any initial driving impressions yet?

Any reason you’re limiting it to 4.5-5K RPM? OM says 7K or less…

This is what I was told when I took possession. They didn't have the manual for the car yet. They are calling monday to get details. I am going to try downloading the manual, I believe 348tb posted it.
It is hard to keep the rpms below 5k she just revs so fast. 7k rpm, please sir can I have some more. Today I was only able to put on about 60 miles, 100km.Very fast aggressive PDK yet extremely smooth, just magic. I don't think I will miss the manual box in this car. The grip seems quite good even with the cold temperatures. (8C,46F) I really need to get the SRS on a track to test it when the weather improves. I pushed it a bit on a cloverleaf on ramp and she is very planted, easily trippling the posted cautionary sign.I don't think any video has done justice to that intake sound. Atleast on my car it sounds throatier but that could be the lower revs I was using. This is one of those cars you need to drive, hear & feel to appreciate. I feel lucky to have her.

Congratulations!

When I had a Gt4rs, my favorite part was the combination of the pdk-s with rapid downshifts and the induction bark that produced. I’m glad you are happy with the pdk-s. What is under discussed on RL is how fantastic a pdk-s is compared to regular pdk. It is super snappy and responsive, just like the NA engine it is paired with. (In the regular cars with turbo charged engines and regular pdk, it is a little laggy.). For the 4rs and srs, you add that induction bark and it’s a great all around experience that I don’t think would improve with a manual.

Which tires did it ship with? I wonder if corsas are available, I prefer those for street use to cup2 or ps4s.

That bark is amazing (at least in videos). I can’t wait! That means even driving around town can be fun. Which is a theme I have heard from a number of reviewers…it doesn’t need to be driven at crazy speeds to enjoy this car. For someone trapped in a growing metropolis, that is very important.

Yesterday had my first ride in a SRS that arrived to the dealer and the owner was taking delivery, so we went for a short ride under 5.5k Rpms. I arrived to the dealer with my manual 992 GT3 so it was good to compare the sound/experience. Well….the car is awesome!!!! You enjoy it at any rpms, barking all the time, I regret I paid for the Bose in mine coming on June lol 🤪 if you are a car guy you will love it, if not you will hate it. I pre-traded my 718 Spyder with Kline exhaust, but this is another experience and level, and different to the GT3 too. Super happy to get this ride yesterday while mine arrives, it confirms it was the right decision. My friend had a GT4RS but compared, the SRS has no drone only a pure intake barking mixed with some exhaust background. Epic car, if you can get one do it… no matter the time it takes to put roof up or down, it worth every second

you can cruise with peace…. but as soon as you press the gas a little bit the intake noise appears saying if you want to hear the birds, the nature with no roof you bought the wrong car, I’m here and I’m the boss 😎
