ran well in sprint 1 and i managed a 2:12.9 at the glen which is pretty respecable for an old 944. Whilst the car had pace in the corners I could not get past the H class 996 on the straights as they had too much grunt for me........ hence the posible new project!

The bigger question... do you have a lead on an engine? You'd think that a 996 with an engine would be better for building an H class stock car.

Dan, good luck finding a 996 with a blown engine, because 996 engines never blow!

Is the C4 chassis stiffer than a C2 chassis? I know the 996 cup cars are built on the 4 wheel drive chassis... but that might just be because it's based on the widebody chassis... I don't know.

I am 99.99% sure that the 996 C4 is a narrow body. The 996 C4S is a wide body.
