Default Stereo (CDR23) stays at "PORSCHE" screen (radio doesn't come on) when turned on

Usually I just turn the radio on and the PORSCHE screen comes up for a few seconds and then it goes to to the station I preset, no problem.
The other day I played with a couple of the buttons and pushed out one of the CD trays, the radio continued to play but now it doesn't.
I don't think this is related since I believe it played after my aforementioned button experimenting.
This morning I push the dial to turn it on and it just remains at the PORSCHE screen, I turn up the volume and try other pushing and holding button combinations ... nada

Have you tried to enter the 4 digit radio code? Maybe with the buttons you were pushing you ended up locking it up?

I have heard that turning the car on and off can help.

Sometimes, alternating pressing the CD button, then the FM button can get it going again.

Mine used to do it more often until I started shutting off the radio before I turned off the car. If I do that, it almost never happens. Almost seemed like the power cycle confused the communication between the radio & the amp.

Mine also does this every now and then. The fix I use is to turn the head unit off, turn the car off, exit the car and use the remote to lock it then unlock the car, get back in, start the car and finally turn on the head unit. Works every time.

(I also know a great cure for hiccups)

Mine did that once when the CD door wasn't closed properly. Have you tried opening and closing it?

To re-boot the system I have to pull both radio fuses D8 & 9 on my 03 cab
