Identification Help - 1987 Slant nose?
Hi all -
My friend has a slant nose 911 that I am not exactly sure what it is.
I think it is a 1987 911 Carrera, and that the slant nose is a turbo look body kit (maybe a factory kit as for instance the spoiler has the Porsche logo embossed in it).
He has had it for a number of years but apparently has only driven it 3 or 4 times a year. It actually has been parked in our office garage for the last 3-4 years....and prior to yesterday had not had a good wash in a while. Actually yesterday, I cleaned up his and mine and they do look pretty good now.
Anyhow, Anyone know exactly what it is?

Thanks.
Actually found a appraisal and authenticity document done by Porsche North America a few years ago. Likely going to list it for sale in the classifieds soon.

Likely a kit - adding slant nose fenders was a popular modification in the 80's - some P dealers were doing them, Does your appraisal documentation mention who manufactured the kit?
Not a turbo as no turbo gauge, are fenders metal or FG? Single motor for pop up lights or two motors? The lower valance is not OEM.
Good looking car- GLWS if you decide to sell.

Here is the certification from Porsche showing that it actually is a factory “turbo look” kit. I posted a link in the classifieds, but appears to have been deleted....not sure why. Have a couple of people that have e-mail with interest, though still not really sure the right selling price.

Will check for single motor or two this weekend.....I posted above the certificate of authenticity from Porsche. Longer full appraisal doesn’t seem to clarify if slant nose was part of factory turbo look or not....just that it has it. could be that turbo look kit was rear and dealer / someone did slant nose conversion too. I think hood is for sure metal, but not sure about fenders.....will also check this weekend.

COA -=Turbo look. Not 100% sure, someone with more knowledge can correct me but I think it means wide front and rear fenders. it would list option code 505? for Flachbau ( Slant Nose) if it is was factory kit. Curious- do the rear fenders have the half lip of undercoating? If they do, then OEM rears.
Most of the nonOEM kits used Mazda single motors to operate the two headlights. I believe if single motor would be centered below the hood latch.
regardless, I think the car looks great- I could see it selling for high 50s?

pop the trunk and post a picture, the mechanical linkage for the headlights is either there or not if original slantnose.
the lower front fascia is definitely not a factory piece from the look of it.

If your looking for the original Charleston Radio I have a real nice one I would sell ?
I also see some Nice proper Fuchs 16 x 7 and 8" Fuchs for sale on PCA right now with tires. $3500. black centers
I also see a proper steering wheel on PCA now too for $500.
Those 3 things would really put this one on top.

The " Turbo look " is not a kit. This is a option. The Slant nose fenders look factory and must have been added later or upon delivery at dealer in CA when new.
With that said as others have mentioned the low front air dam / is aftermarket of some sort. Chin spoiler is missing the lower most Rubber that you would see on a factory 505 option slant nose.
From my research very few Porsches in the Summer yellow color. Some say as few as Ten 911s came to USA in 1987 in this color in all different configurations.
Coupes Cabs and Targas. Was not a special order color just not many dealers or customers ordered this cool color off the chart in 1987.
Question. Where is this car now ? as this post was from 2018
Thanks
