Default Trailering a 911

I bought a 1978 911 SC Targa that I have to trailer home. I am a new Porsche owner and I am wondering how to load it on the trailer. Should I back it on because of the weight of the engine? What is the weight distribution of the 911? Thanks

I load it normally... back to the rear...

The only one I did with the back towards the front was the 1981 project and that was just laziness on our part since we did not wanted to turn it around as we took it out of the PO garage...

And be sure you check those securing straps often (do not ask me how I know!!!) I would take additional straps and secure it using those as well.

Check the tongue weight limitation on your car and then use a tongue weight scale to make sure you don’t exceed it (which is easy to do). The consequences of getting it wrong are expensive. BTW - those UHaul trailers are crap and by themselves produce tongue weights that are close to max for an SUV.

I just towed mine with a ram 1500 pickup, with a U-Haul car transport. I pulled it on frontways. No problems at all with tongue weight.

Recently I just purchased a 1970 911 T that I need to transport. I have access to a car trailer, and am looking for the best way to secure my new toy during the move.

i am expecting thoughts, experience, stories from all of your guyz?
