tires for 1972 911
We are getting a 1972 911T back on the road after sitting for 30 years. The tires are at least 30 years old. The tire on the spare is a Michelin WXW 185/70VR15. The tires on the car are 215/60R15. I can get the Michelin WXW for $312 each, I would rather not, as this will be a driver, not a concourse restoration. Does anyone have suggestions on tires? The car will be used in Montana, mostly in the spring, summer and fall. Thanks Phil
(there is the thread on the forum on the engine and tranny breakdown and reassembly, install under Desert Barn Find, 1972 911T)

If oe isn't requisite then 7x15 ET23.3 205/50 or 205/55 or 195/60 or 195/55 is a nice upgrade, any of these tires can also be used on the 6x15 but 7 will give better results
there are also some cheaper alternatives in 185/70 to the Pirellis or Michelins, Avon, Vredestein among them

I'm a big fanboy of the CN36. Not cheap. They drive fantastic! Great grip and very progressive in break away when driven properly, and "look" the part.
