Default Muffle me: built 3.2 exhaust options

I know this has been discussed many times, so forgive the question, since despite having read through archives I don’t have a clear next step.

Ask: I need a way to quiet down the exhaust, without totally neutering the motor. If I lose 5 to 10% at the top end that is fine. Right now at anything above idle I have pedestrians flipping me off, and the drone at highway speeds as akin to riding in an old Cessna with no headset.

Specs:
1975 chassis
1984 3.2 + 915 5 speed
Built motor (specs and dyno below) from William Knight at Knight Racing.
exhaust: 1 3/4” performance headers going to flow master custom exhaust. Nearly a straight pipe.

what exhaust options might work best with my set up?

hahaha.... i'm trying to figure something out for my 71. Its not as loud as yours but it's loud. it's awesome when on it, it's annoying when just cruising. was going to just throw a dansk back on. your headers look like factory style exit early headers for the megafone type, you could go with a dual center exit or RSR type or pea shooter type, 2 in 2 out, you'll probably need to have the connecting pipes fabricated to the muffler. The later mufflers are single in. YOu'll need something with dual in.

Good luck, nice power on that thing. Bet it's a riot in the earlier G chassis.

For what it's worth, the drone on my 2 in 2 out peashooters was unbearably annoying at cruise speeds. I went back to 2 in 1 out Dansk sport. It's a good compromise of quiet, no drone, not super loud but vocal when you put your foot into it.

I had a gt3 center M&K exhaust... I love the noise it makes, then I started to get a ringing in my ears. It was time to go back to stock and never looked back.

I have headers, SSI heat exchangers, no cats, & a Dansk Sport Muffler. 2 in 1 out. It is a little loud at start up but mellows quickly. Sounds pretty nice between 4000-6000 rpm.

I have a '89 with the stock heat exchangers and a custom modified Dansk (to get the GT3 style pipes). I also modified the gears and gear ratios - so it really moves 0-50 mph and sings but cruising in 5th is pretty loud. Definitely a head-turner, but not in a tricked out Honda Civic kind of a way.

Love the sound and tone, the volume is a little much - but the drone is messing with my hearing too. I have started wearing ear plugs. I love to drive with the windows down but after a long drive, the drone when cruising around is too much.

Some here have recommended the M&K solutions, but looks from the above post, that too is problematic.

I can't go back to stock because I replaced the front and back bumper - so I am committed to the center, dual barrel pipes.

Anyone try something from Bursch (https://burschexhaust.com)? Saw their ad in Panorama this month.

I see I'm in good company here.
