Vertex calipers
Need to replace my rear left caliper on my 86 Carrera. Anyone used vertex? They are reman and less than half the price of pelican new ate.

Those look to be just bare cast iron...no plating or finish of any kind. If that's the case, they'll be rust and ugly in no time and probably start to stick as rust creeps under the boot and down the bore.

why not just take yours apart, clean and replace the seals? Easy and when reinstalled will match the other three calipers. We do it all of the time in our shop

After wasting my time installing 3 vertex steering racks in the same 993 I wouldn't trust a thing they rebuild personally. Rebuilding calipers is easy to do but messy.
