My tire selection was the Pirelli P& Cinturato in 225/50VR16 for rear and 205/55YR16 for front on my 1986 911 Targa.

Sure, these are summer-only tires, but perfect for my southern FL vehicle.

A big part of my selection was the traditional styling, using modern materials.

Just did a "long" road trip today and I'm very satisfied w/ my choice.

Note these are not intended for usage below 40°F, so select something else if the temperature is not appropriate.

Looking to see what all weather tires users have and what mileage is expected within the various modern tire options available.
Living in an area of twisty and scenic roads within a dry climate. No need for track or autocross, so no summer HP stickie hoops are wanted
Tire Rack some a few known names and and some Asian ones

What are your actual experiences with the various options?

I put Michelins on my 88 911 that I bought from Coker tires. Looks like the originals but with modern rubber nd construction.

That looks like a nice maximum performance summer-only tire, but is not Porsche N rated.

lol are you kidding , you are looking for a Porsche N rated tire for a 40 year old car ?

im pretty sure Kmart tires made these days would supersede Porsche N rated tire specs from 40 years go

Very happy w/ my new technology Porsche N rated tire selection and think they are superior to K-Mart tires.

Agree with P7. In the 80’s this was the tire to have. Looks and fits great Porsche NRATED. People in club always notice the tires. Only downside maybe supply a little tight

They FINALLY started the factory in Turkey to produce these tires, after about a year and a half.

My rear tires arrived after about a month. My front tires took four.

Both sizes are currently in-stock.

Tire Rack needed to manually override their computers to ship from an alternative warehouse, instead of the default warehouse to satisfy my order, instead of waiting until July.

Also, REALLY appreciate the appearance of these tires, compared to other options. It looks 100% appropriate for the vehicle.

That was originally the Bridgestone RE11 and a fantastic tire.
While P7's are an original tire, and decent in the dry, they tend to aquaplane at relatively low speeds.

Unable to locate any info one way or the other about wet tire performance on the P7. There is not yet the usual Tire Rack ratings one performance specs on this new technology tire. Have not driven mine yet in the rain and probably won't for many months in southern FL.

Here is the only related info from the Tire Rack website: "The pattern features a solid center rib for acceleration and braking traction in addition to confident on-center feel. The circumferential grooves and diagonal notches help resist hydroplaning."

I agree with JCP911S about the Firehawk Indy 500 tires. They are rebranded Potenzas, someone's great idea in the Bridgestone marketing departmant. Cheap to huy and a great street and canyon performance tire. I've pushed in the back country and only one chirp heard from the fronts. They look retro as well, reminds me of Boranis on 60's Ferraris.

Going to a PCA PDS this weekend and there will be an all day AX on Sunday. I'll report back.

Here is an image of the Firestone Firehawk Indy 500 tire.

In what way does this ultra high performance summer tire appear retro?

The Borrani wheel is a waaay cool wire spoke wheel used on old Ferrari vehicles.

How does a tire remind of a wheel?

I didn't mean the tread. The cross section midway between the bead and the tread looks plump and remidnds me when I stuffed larger tires on 14" rims.
