Default introductions

Howdy everyone.
Introducing my self - just landed my first 911 - a 1986 carrera black over black with the tail. Elephant racing coil overs and 87' turbo wheels. It's getting a once over at Einar's (Houston) currently and a Griffiths AC conversion.
I've spent many hours tearing into old and Audis but more recently have been driving and '08 RS4 (now retired from daily driving and current daily is a '21 Macan GTS.
Thrilled to be in a 911. Looking forward to many projects and learning from the group.

Ditto on the welcome and a very nice looking car.

Einer has helped my daughter and me keep her 07 Cayman and my 82 SC roadworthy for a number of years now. Please say hello to him from us and enjoy your car. I am very interested in your thoughts on the AC conversion.

Clean car....

you will find working on this car a lot simpler than that B7 lol

i am a full time mechanic for my sons B7 ( A4) my B8.5 and we finally threw away the A6 (C5)

the Porsche is easier than all of them.

Yep = B7 is crazy tight. Especially with the 4.2 liter v8. I intentionally went for this generation so I could get back to wrenching.

Congrats on your purchase. Good looking car. I also have. Black Carrera (‘88) which I purchased new. They are great cars and I will never sell mine. One day I will upgrade the AC as the original system is terrible and always was even when the car was new. Good luck with yours!
