Great work especially the fabrications. I am a Stuy-town refugee and have an 87 and am also very particular about my car. My guess is you are an OC doctor when not working your full time job of Porsche restoration.

the car needed almost nothing since i bought it but now im nitpicking to the single LED bulb hahah. I guess its winter and nothing much going on on netflix.

I love this thread, keep up the good work. Can't wait to do the same to my own SC hopefully someday in the near future

She's a beauty...

Quick question, does the 1983 SC still need a blow off valve on the airbox or was that only needed on previous models?

a blow off valve was never incorporated by Porsche, was provided by the aftermarket . It is used in less than optimal CIS setup cars for backfires . My car has never had a blow off valve and never will, because the CIS is properly set up .

Putting a pop off valve in a properly running car is like a doctor cutting into a healthy patient.

just my 2c.

pop off valve is what i meant! Not blow off lol. But i feel like mine saved my airbox when my coil went bad. Heard a mini explosion from the back and assumed it came from pressure within the airbox itself.

A further update, went with a wider 17x9 rear wheel with 275/40/17. So far no rubbing nor anything obstructing the tire.
