G-50 Pepto
I broke out of my narrow 944 turbo world to do some long needed work on my dad's 1987 911.
Clutch, after all complete I wanted to change the trans fluid in the G-50 I thought dark oil but it came out like a link milk shake!! Pink as it gets. The Paperwork for the PPI says changed grand fluid, I think that this mechanic put ATF in it to try and fix some other ailment. Water would be yellowish or white. He purchased it twelve years ago, so it's long gone but I like to know about crook mechanics. Also the valves were set at ZERO lash also says adjusted valves on PPI.

I suspect what you have in there was Redline Shockproof. I would share my opinions of that fluid, and Redline's products in general. But the admins would probably ban me for my language. The best thing you could have done is drain that stuff out of the transmission.

It would not mix with the Mobil one I flushed with, I'll give it five hundred and dump it again. The shifting in it prior to the fluid change it was the worst feeling trans I've ever felt, now with Mobil 1 it's a dream to shift and smooth with the new clutch.

G50 needs Delvac or Motul is a good option, I've run both in my old G, my 964, and my gt3 and they work great. Fill it, run it, flush it. Who knows what crap is in there... that said, the well loved Swepco for the non g50 boxes is very blue....
That's a nice car, love the color.
