What is the best method to adjust the shift coupler?
I know discussed million times but here we go:
I installed a new Stormski coupler + a new Stormski clamp
I watched 10 videos and read the Bentley.
now after adjustment, I can shift to Reverse and 5th better than before, but my 1st has become more difficult at stops.
3rd so-so
before adjusting my 1st was super easy to find, 3rd was always meh sometimes grinding if I didn't "align" perfectly the shifter
I understand is all about micro-adjustments...but is getting exhausting...
what is the best method to adjust the coupler? what is the principle behind it? should I put it in gear and THEN adjust? to neutral? everyone seems to have a different opinion...

honestly, its a feel thing and a huge pain in the *** I you don't do it regularly. even if you've marked the location and put it exact, its never exact. so just keep changing it slowly. it also helps to know what you need to fix, for example if 1st tougher you may need to rotate it a bit opposite way assuming its getting into the gate ok once the shifter is to the left. so watch the movement and counter that very slightly. small changes at the shaft make big changes at the shifter.

yep totally understand.
for now, I found a decent setting that works,
I'm still annoyed that sometimes I risk grinding the 3rd if the stick is not "aligned properly" (very vague, I wish it was gated like a Ferrari...) because of a sideway play, I think, but not sure,,,
(NOTE; I have no idea if POs did any work on the transmission, I doubt it)

Where is the tool
Maybe someone in this forum with skills could design a tool for this. I find even when I’m careful to keep things where they are, to then make slight adjustments, it’s easy to make a bigger adjustment than planned and almost have to start over.
I’d pay for a supporting tool!

same here!
the clamp (or maybe the couple itself) should have a micrometric adjustment of some sort, that would be amazing
