Hey guys,

I just wanted to put in a quick note to introduce myself here. I was looking for a perfect 944 turbo, but every car that I looked at was complete junk or had too many miles. I ended up making what I feel was a much better choice, I bought a nice '83 SC. The car has 100k with all books and records (recent work including a rebuilt transmission), and does not appear to have ever been in an accident. When I had the car inspected they told me that there was some paint on the passenger door, but they couldn't find any other body work. It's guards red with a brown full leather interior. I will hopefully be following up in 5 minutes with some pictures, or I know I will be flamed . I paid 14,000 for the car, which is probably the high end of what they are worth, but the car is in really really nice condition, and I am more than happy with my purchase

No smoke here, I paid more than that for an 82 with 80k on the clock. Looks like you got a good deal from whrere I'm sittin.

He meant he would be flamed for not posting pictures, not the price. That's a good deal in my opinion as well, as long as a PPI was performed. I liked the choice of color

Looks like a nice car. $14K is v reasonable for a nice car. And if that still seems high to you, think of what else you could be for that.... not much... plus if you keep it nice, it will probably always be worth 14... can't go wrong

Congrats on your new P-car! Many happy miles! Assuming it passed the PPI, sounds like you got a good deal. If you haven't already, you might want to check out your local PCA. Often a great group and a terrific resource to help you keep your car running.

I have read the 911SC FAQ, infact I did quite a bit of research before I bought a car. A good friend of myne (rennlist member) has a 951 and a 911SC, so I had a great refrence to take shopping with me. Even the shop that did the PPI said that the last SC they saw scimilar to the car I bought sold for 16. It always seems like there are so many cheap cars out there until it is actually time to buy, but I think especially with porsches, you get what you pay for. I hope to keep the car for many miles, and hopefully have some fun times doing DEs and autocrosses.

Is anyone going to the autocross this weekend at the Beaverun complex?
