Default 911 SC Engine Cover

Hello,

I have a 1983 911 SC Cabriolet. I'm looking at purchasing a different engine cover with a whale tail already installed to put on the car so I can keep my original to change back to if I don't like the look with the tail. My question is will an engine cover from a 964 bolt on to a 911 SC?

Thanks,
Mike

hello,

I have the same car!!! what color is it?

To answer at your question, it's possible but need electrical transformation to use the motor of the tail and may be cut the bottom of the 964 engin cover.

A+

If the engine cover from the 964 has the electronically raised spoiler, it will not work on your car if you still have the factory A/C installed. It interferes with the rear condenser. There are several write up of people doing this install if you use the search feature of this board. Also look on Pelican parts website.
