Question Fog Light Frame Missing ???

Anyone know if my 82' 911sc should have a black frame around the fog lights? Looks much nicer on the white 911 picture than mine hanging out in the open. Never noticed before that something may be missing. Looks like a black plastic cover around the light against the front valance.

Thanks,

Ron

I beleive that starting in 84 they were mounted IN the valence, as on the white car. Pre 84 they hung from brackets bolted to the valence as on your car. They are entirely different (valence and lights) from 84 on. My 83 setup is the same as yours.

I wonder if there is a mod. that would give them the cleaner look of the white 911 for our babies ?

You would have to put the Carrera valence on your car. I don't know if the bumper and valence off an 84-89 would need to be installed as a package, but at least the valence with fog lights would be required.

As you have been reading, all this changed with MY84. They better integrated the fog lights into the front air dam and you would have to replace the air dam and the fog lights together.
