Question Motor Miester and PPI question?

I have heard nothing but bad things about Motor Miester. There is a car that I have wanted to look at for a while. The engine was rebuilt by Motor Miester and that is bothering me. The car is fairly expensive so if I had to put big money into the motor the car would not be worth it to me. If a PPI turns out OK should I not worry about it? Also, can anyone recomend where to get the PPI done, the car is in western PA.
Thanks in advance for any help, Rich

I would still worry no matter what the PPI turns up.....that would be a MAJOR bargaining tool in my book to get the price down to where you could afford to get the engine done right....the thing that bothers me is if the previous owner cut corners on the engine rebuild....what does that say about the rest of his maintainance....and why is the car priced so high?.....how long has the engine been in the car?....just brings up too many questions.

The motor is literally the biggest expense in these cars. Keep looking and you will sleep better.

Truer words were never spoken (aside from rust issues),...

Find another unless the car's final price reflects the cost of an engine.

Thanks for the input Guys, it seems unanimous. The rest of the car seems pretty nice, I was hoping a good PPI would rule out big problems.

I heard something nice once, but that was before the engine grenaded.
