Default Restoring chrome?

Is it possible to restore chrome? Or is there some to re-chrome something? There are certain parts of my car where the chrome has deteriorated, but I can't find replacement parts. These are the engine grill (can only find plastic replacement.. wtf?) and the "PORSCHE" letters for the engine hood (can only find in black and gold versions). So, is there a way to fix up what I already have?

I'd also like to restore the wheels, which are original from 1969.

Yes, they sand it, fill it with metal, sand/sand/sand/prep. & rechrome, then polish.

But the grill is brushed Al.

If you don't know where to find the "chrome guys", most wheel stores have contact/contract with "chrome people"

Be sure to find a top notch place. Ask around - maybe John Walker knows.
