And it must work because even though it's well north of 300 HP in a little 5.0 V8 it idles dead-smooth at 500 RPM. I had a 300+ HP Mustang back in the day and not only would it not idle under 1500 RPM it was NOT smooth either.
Now if only I can could disable the traction control..it would be non-stop

FotoVeloce, that's a "turbo-look" Cab, though can't be sure it is a factory job (has a wheel change & wouldn't it have headlamp washers?). w/ low mileage, a good history & some room to negotiate, $28K is not too bad a starting point.
let me see now... paid about $22K for my '87 Coupe 5 yrs ago, listed about $45K new, still in fine shape (113K mi). I'd guess it's worth around $20K. so, for 25% of a 997 I think I've got at least 50% of the car (imo), little depreciation, I can maintain it myself & it might last longer.

That car sees overpriced to me- there could be a premium if it's a factory turbo-look, but that asking price is not indicative of a "normal" 3.2 cab with that many miles. Plus, it is just an asking price....subject to negotation. I would deduct for the crappy wheels, unless they threw in the original wheels if they have them

Well.. where the car is located.. the average home is more around $200,000 and latest demographics info for the area show an average household income of $40,000. Not exactly an affluent area.... :/

Note the window sticker. $657 for a Monterey radio. That's insane. $882 for 15" Fuch's? Why not order out the 16" Fuchs while you're at it?

Here is an 86 Carrera Cabrio in my area for $27,900
48,000 miles and a top end rebuild (Valve Guides)

I checked it out 8 months ago and it's in excellent shape.
