If not, post the interior code and we should be able to decipher it for you.

David,

L980 is the paint code for Silver Metallic.

The interior code should be a two letter code... However, I could be wrong and '97' might be the interior code. Can you see anything else on the label?

Here's a label from an '86 at Exclusive Motors:

Note that the paint code is L539 and the "VL" is the interior color. (this one is White Gold with a brown full leather interior)

All that is on that line is: L980 97

Spence, so you are saying that "97" is Linen? Is that available on the Lloyd's mat chart? If not what is the closest match?

Thanks,

David

I just looked at the HW Accessories site. The show Lloyd Mats available in Silk Gray. It looks just like Linen so I feel as if the two colors might be interchangeable.

Maybe, it just seems strange that 2 colours available at the same time would be so similar.

Is your drivers seat 4 way or 8 way?

You need to see a car with a Silk Grey interior, I think that will tell you either way.

BTW: this is the car I thought was yours, very similar!

this is my interior:

David,

Your '89 Silver Anniversary car does not have a Linen interior.

It is Silk Grey, and was a standard part of the '89 SA package (Option code 098 on your underhood and manual stickers) for all the SA cars, both Silver and Black Metallic versions. Silk Grey and Linen are not the same.

That being said, order the black mats to save yourself alot of grief.

"All 500 had a Silk Grey leather interior, including supple leather
seats w/black piping. Interior code-97"

that's what your '97' is.

Well that is good news. For sure the "97" is Silk Gray. BTW Spence, your interior looks great! I can see that Linen is a bit more white in color than my Silk Gray which is more of a very light gray.

I've still not orderd anything yet. I want the Silk Gray color with black Carrera lettering...but realize that black mats with Silk Gray Carrera lettering are probably a better choice.

Spence, that car in the ad is just like my car but I have only 13,500 on my car! Hard to believe that they sold it for $35K+...what does that mean mine is worth?

Thanks for the input guys!

Spence,

Forgot to mention, both seats in my car are 4-way powered.
