Thanks guys...I understand where you coming from, no disrepect. I have played this game, as I have owned many Porsches (i.e., 911's, 944's, and 914's and one 356) and I too have fallen in the trap of thinking I was ahead of the game by purchasing the lower end of the market instead of the nicer car...and then spent countless hours re-building the car. To his is own...I have always liked the wrenching thing. I'll throw it out there and see what happens...if it doesn't sell...I'll build a dream car - little early 911, late 911, RSR, Club Sport, ST - incarnation...

Only warning on the ebay front- many people bid in the heat of the moment and somewhere between the time they win the auction and need to pay for/pick up the car they talk to friends or post on places like Rennlist (i.e. do their homework after the exam...) then no pay and the car gets re-listed. I tend to see this especially with the lower priced (under $10K) cars. Just an FYI- don't get too excited if you get a decent bid until you have replaced the title that "was" in your hand with cash that "is" in your hand

Thanks...been there before. Luckily I'm not is a huge hurry to sell, yet I would be much happier to sell it to a Rennlister or local joe.

Nice '77. My first ride in a 911 was a '77S, fast as hell, had a little tweeking done to the engine, and the car was lowered. Man, did that car leave a lasting impression on me. And it was that bright lime green color Porsche used in the 70's, and me being quite young (23y.o.), boy was I hooked.

Actually, I would like a nice '77S or Carrera. But I can't afford one at this moment. Given the problems with the magnesium engines cases, I'd have the engine torn apart and rebuilt upon getting it home. I like the small body and the feeling it gives of being a very small and nimble vehicle.
